Chess in African

Did you know that the ancient Egyptians played a game called "senet," which dates back to around 3100 BCE? Some historians believe that this game may have influenced the development of chess, as there are similarities between the movement of some pieces in senet and chess, such as the rook and the queen.

While it's generally believed that chess originated in India, there is evidence to suggest that it may have been influenced by earlier games from other cultures. For example, the Indian game of chaturanga had pieces that represented different military units, much like the pieces in senet and other ancient games.
